UNICROSS update on the ongoing examination

The management of the university of Cross River State, has announced that its matriculation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session will hold on Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17, 2026, while ongoing examinations will continue as scheduled during the period.

In a statement to the university community, including staff, students and parents/guardians, the management congratulated the newly admitted students on reaching what it described as a significant milestone in their academic journey and formally welcomed them into the institution.

The statement expressed hope that the matriculating students’ stay in the university would be marked by diligence, excellence and outstanding academic achievements.

However, the management emphasised that the ongoing examinations would neither be postponed nor interrupted during the matriculation ceremony, stressing that all examinations would proceed according to the existing timetable.

To ensure a peaceful and conducive atmosphere for students writing their examinations, the university directed that there should be no music, loud celebrations or any activities capable of generating noise within or around the university campuses that could disrupt activities in the examination halls.

Consequently, matriculating students and their parents or guardians have been strongly advised to hold all celebrations and receptions outside the university campuses.

The management expressed regret for any inconvenience the arrangement might cause and appealed for the understanding, cooperation and compliance of all concerned in order to safeguard the integrity and smooth conduct of the examinations.
