NABTEB releases 2025 GCE examination results
The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released the 2025 Nov/Dec NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examination results.
The Registrar and CEO, Dr Aminu Mohammed, announced the release at the Board’s headquarters in Benin, stating that 60 per cent of candidates obtained five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics. The results were released 64 days after the last paper, reflecting the Board’s commitment to efficiency and transparency.
A total of 61,591 candidates registered nationwide — 57,444 ordinary level and 4,147 advanced level candidates — representing a 28.42 per cent increase compared to 2024. The examinations were conducted in 2,079 centres, marking a 13.92 per cent rise in the number of centres.
Performance varied across trade areas, with Construction, Engineering, and Miscellaneous Trades recording higher pass rates than Business Trades. Overall, more than half of the candidates qualified as craftsmen and master craftsmen.
On malpractice, 259 candidates (0.42 per cent) were involved, showing a slight reduction from 2024, which the Board attributed to improved monitoring and collaboration with security agencies.
Dr Mohammed reaffirmed NABTEB’s commitment to strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Nigeria through innovation and partnerships. He advised candidates to check their results online and announced that registration for the 2026 in-school NBC/NTC examinations has commenced.
