AAU gives update on NELFUND student loan application

This is to inform all students of Ambrose Alli University, particularly newly admitted 100 Level students, that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has graciously extended its application window for the 2025/2026 student loan scheme.

Management wishes to strongly inform students that the PORTAL for NELFUND STUDENTS LOAN is now opened for a period of two weeks, effective Monday 18th May, 2026.

The Management ishereby encouraging all eligible students who are yet to apply to take advantage of this fresh opportunity provided by the Federal Government through the NELFUND initiative.

The scheme is designed to ease the financial burden of students by providing loans for tuition and upkeep during the course of their studies.

It is important to note that many students of the University successfully benefited from the 2024/2025 edition of the programme.

Consequently, students are advised not to miss this valuable opportunity for the ongoing 2025/2026 session.

ELIGIBILITY/CRITERIA FOR APPLICATION

To qualify for the NELFUND Student Loan Scheme, applicants are expected to:

> Bea duly admitted and registered student ofAmbrose Alli University.

> Possess a valid admission status.

> Have a valid National Identification Number (NIN).

> Have a functional Bank Verification Number (BVN).

> Possess an active personal bank account. (Not online banks pls)

> Provide a valid phone number and email address.

Ensure that all required personal and academic details are correctly uploaded during application.

Complete the application process through the official NELFUND portal https:/nelf.gov.ng within the stipulated period.

Students, especially freshers, are advised to visit the official NELFUND application portal for proper registration and application procedures.
