AAU announces vacancy for the Post of a Registrar
At the 237th Regular Meeting of the Governing Council of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma held on Friday, 15th August 2025, it was announced that the post of the University Registrar, Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma is vacant and therefore should be advertised. Consequently, applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the post of Registrar, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Nigeria.
DUTIES OF THE REGISTRAR
The University Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University except for financial matters which fall within the purview of the Bursar. By virtue of the position, the Registrar is the statutory Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation, Convocation and the Committee of these bodies.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
As stipulated by the University Las as Amended 1999, the Registrar shall hold office for a Single Term of five (5) years only and on such terms and conditions as specified in his/her letter of appointment.
QUALITIES OF THE CANDIDATE
The Candidate must be a person of impeccable integrity with the ability to command the respect and trust of both staff and students. He/She must possess drive, initiative. and foresight, must understand the intricacies and complexities of the 21st Century higher educational institution. In addition, He/She must be capable of articulating the vision of the University generally and be able to drive a vibrant Registry. Must be of pleasant disposition with sound leadership qualities and must be of good physical and mental health. He/She shall submit a statement of his/her vision/mission for the University which should not be more than five hundred (500) words.
QUALIFICATION FOR THE POST
The Candidate must be a graduate from a recognised University (Federal/State Universities) in a relevant discipline. Possession of higher qualifications will be an added advantage. The candidate must be a Deputy Registrar in any recognised University. The candidate must, in addition to other qualifications, be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant, and should. not be above 60years old at the time of assumption of duty.
REMUNERATION
A consolidated salary for University Registrar with NUC approved benefits and allowances as applicable to the Nigerian University System/other benefits/entitlements as approved by the Governing Council from time to time.

Interested candidates should submit twenty-five (25) copies of their applications, credentials and detailed Curriculum Vitae accompanied with photocopies of their certificates and relevant credentials. Detailed Curriculum Vitae should include:
Full names, Date and place of birth, permanent home address, current postal address, Nationality, marital status, number and ages of children, Educational Institutions attended with dates, Academic/Professional Qualifications (including dates and granting bodies), list of scholarly publications, statement of experience including current employment and names and addresses of three (3) referees.
Applicants should request their referees to forward on their behalf confidential reports directly to reach the Vice-Chancellor, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma before the date of interview.
CLOSING DATE
Applications should be submitted by Courier Service under confidential cover in sealed envelopes marked "Post of Registrar, AAUE" and addressed to the Vice Chancellor, Ambrose Alli University, P.M.B. 14 Ekpoma not later than Four(4) weeks from the date of this publication.
