Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology (AFUST), Aliero, has released the step-by-step online screening and registration procedure for all newly admitted undergraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The university, formerly known as Kebbi State University of Science & Technology, detailed the process in a guide aimed at easing the registration for fresh students.

The procedure begins with an online screening for candidates who have not completed the process. They are required to log onto the university's application portal, check their admission status, and complete an application form upon payment of a ₦2,000 fee. After submission, candidates must print the Online Screening Form and report to the Registration Centre for activation.

Following activation, students must check their registered email to access and print a Conditional Offer letter. The next step involves paying a ₦5,000 admission acceptance fee online to download the Offer of Provisional Admission.

Thereafter, students are to pay ₦1,500 at any Ecobank Nigeria Plc branch for Student Registration Record Files and report to the designated Registration Centre on campus with the evidence of payment, starting from Tuesday, 27th January, 2026.

At the centre, students will collect three registration files, photocopy all required credentials—including UTME/DE result slip, JAMB admission letter, and the provisional admission offer—and insert them into each file. Original credentials must be presented for screening.

After verification, students will be issued a Confirmation of Admission Letter. They are then to generate a payment invoice for registration fees via the student portal. The university warned that non-indigenes falsely claiming Kebbi State origin will face double registration fees after verification.

Subsequent steps include online course registration, printing of various forms (Course Registration Form, Physical Examination Form, etc.), and getting registration payments verified and signed at the Student Affairs Division.

Students must also register with the University Clinic for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), obtain a library borrower's ticket and ID card from the main library, and finally, submit all three fully completed registration files to the Academic Division.

The university congratulated the new students and wished them success in their academic pursuits, reiterating its motto: "Knowledge for self-reliance."

Prospective students are advised to follow the steps meticulously and adhere to all deadlines and guidelines.
