Abia State College of Education opens admission for 2025/2026 session

The Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu, has announced the commencement of admissions into its various academic programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the institution, applications are now open for suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes across its different schools and departments.

Available programmes span several schools, including the School of General Education, which offers Curriculum Studies/Educational Technology, Educational Foundation and Administration, as well as Psychology/Guidance and Counselling. The School of Science Education provides courses in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physical and Health Education, and Computer Science.

The college also offers programmes under the School of Vocational and Technical Education, including Agricultural Science Education, Home Economics, Fine and Applied Arts, Business Education, and Technical Education. In addition, the School of Languages runs English and Igbo programmes, while the School of Early Childhood Care and Primary Education offers Early Childhood Care and Education and Primary Education.

Other programmes are available in the School of Arts and Social Sciences, such as Social Studies, Political Science, Economics, Christian Religious Studies, and Music. All programmes are available in both sandwich and part-time modes.

Prospective applicants are required to possess a minimum of five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics. Participation in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is compulsory.
