ABSU announces resumption for 2025/2026 session

The Senate of Abia State University has approved the resumption of students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The decision was reached during the 284th Regular Meeting of the Senate held on Tuesday, 18th November 2025.

According to a statement signed by the Registrar, Dr. Acho Elendu, the session is scheduled to commence on Monday, 1st December 2025.

The university released the following schedule for the start of the session:

· Monday, 1st December 2025: Arrival and Registration for New Students

· Saturday, 6th December 2025: Return and Registration for Returning Students

· Monday, 8th December 2025: Commencement of First Semester Lectures

· Friday, 12th December 2025: Orientation for New Students

· Friday, 19th December 2025: Christmas Break Begins

· Monday, 12th January 2026: Lectures Resume after Christmas Break

The management emphasized that all students, both new and returning, must pay their fees and complete all registration formalities. Only bona fide students who have paid their fees and registered for their courses will be granted access to university facilities.

Students, parents, and guardians are advised to take note of the schedule and ensure strict compliance.
