ABSU announces 81st inaugural lecture
Abia State University, Uturu, has announced that its 81st Inaugural Lecture will hold on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the institution’s Main Auditorium.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ndukwu J. Okeudo, on behalf of the Senate, extended an open invitation to members of the academia and the general public to attend the event.
The lecture will be delivered by Professor Paul Uchenna Joseph Mbakwe, a Professor of History and International Relations. He holds multiple academic qualifications including Ph.D, CAL, M.Sc., ABSU, PGDIS, MHSN, MIFT, and MNIIA.
The topic for the lecture is:
“Igbo Genesis and the Chronology of a Polity: Myth, Memory, and the Politics of Origin.”
The event is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m., and attendees are advised to be seated by 10:30 a.m. ahead of the Vice-Chancellor’s procession.
The Senate Ceremonials Committee, chaired by Prof. Jemima Ogwo, is coordinating preparations for the lecture.
