The President of the Ahmadu Bello University Students' Representative Council (ABUSRC), Comrade Abdurrahman Halliru Saraki, has provided a crucial update to the student body regarding the status of the NELFUND refund and other pertinent issues.

Addressing the student community through his Chief of Staff, President Saraki disclosed that his office has been in direct engagement with the University's Bursary Division concerning the long-overdue NELFUND refunds for Batch B students.

"We have met with them because this is long overdue. It has been a month since we received the Batch A refunds," the President stated. "We were informed that the process for Batch B experienced delays primarily due to some invalid account details, which have now been rectified. The funds will soon be transferred to students, and over 800 students are set to receive this refund from Batch B."

In addition to the Batch B refunds, the President addressed the issue of overpaid students. He assured that the situation is being managed, and affected students will receive adjustments corresponding to the correct tuition amount for their specific level of study.

To ensure sustained follow-up and resolution, President Saraki announced the formation of a dedicated committee. This committee is primarily tasked with maintaining continuous engagement with the Bursary Division until all outstanding refunds are fully processed. This comprehensive effort inludes clearing pending refunds for both the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic sessions.

The ABUSRC remains committed to advocating for the welfare of ABU students and will provide further updates as they become available.
