ABU notice on available bed spaces for the mop-up accommodation allocation exercise
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced the release of additional bedspaces for the mop-up phase of the 2025/2026 undergraduate student accommodation exercise.
According to a statement from the Student Affairs Division, the final set of available bedspaces will open for reservation and payment on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
The available hostels have been categorized by gender. Female students, both new and returning, may secure accommodation at Ramat Blocks F, G, and H, as well as Suleiman Hall (A Blocks). Male students are allocated bedspaces at Danfodio Extension Blocks 1 and 2, and Shehu Idris Hall.
The university noted that all other male and female hostels, including Amina Hall, Ribadu Hall, Alexander Hall, and Suleiman F Blocks, are already fully reserved. It also disclosed that renovation work at the Ramat Blocks is expected to be completed over the weekend.
Students are advised to make prompt payments after reserving bedspaces, as failure to do so may result in revocation. The statement further reminded students to strictly adhere to the universityβs Hall Residency Regulations, including refraining from writing on walls, using electricity responsibly, and reporting room-related issues to hall administrators.
The university emphasized that students will be held accountable and required to pay for any damage caused to their rooms or hostel blocks.
The announcement was signed by the Dean, Student Affairs Division, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
