ABU staff arrested for allegedly arranging the kidnap of lecturers

Officials of the Nigerian police force have arrested one Aliyu Abubakar, a security staff of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), for working with kidnappers to abduct lecturers.

Aliyu is accused of providing kidnappers with information to aid the abduction of lecturers and was arrested alongside one Malam Jafaru, who is alleged to have been providing spiritual guidance to the kidnappers, and also some other suspected kidnappers accused of terrorizing the university community.

Nigerian Police Force Spokesperson, Frank Mba confirmed the arrest.
