ABUTH HND Nursing Sciences Application form, 2026/27

Applications are hereby invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for admission into Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing Sciences for the 2026/2027 academic session.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must:

1. Be a Registered Nurse with either RN or RN/RM certificate

2. Be registered with Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria and have current practicing license

3. Have a minimum of 5 credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in not more than 2 sittings

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND INTERVIEW

Candidates who satisfy the basic entry requirements shall be required to sit for an entrance examination. The selection process will include a CBT and thereafter, successful candidates will be invited for selection oral interview. Invited candidates are expected to bring along their original credentials to the interview. Successful candidates shall be required to pass medical examination for fitness in ABU Teaching Hospital Shika or Tudun Wada.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

1. Log onto https://abuth.gov.ng/apply

2. CLICK ON SIGNUP

3. CREATE YOUR PROFILE (Always ensure you write down your chosen login ID, and PASSWORD as you will need them to log back into the portal)

4. Click CHECK FORMS ON SALE or APPLY HERE (Make sure you read the program guidelines and know the requirements of your proposed program before applying)

5. From the list of currently open programmes, choose by clicking "APPLY" on the right end

6. Click APPLY

7. A transaction page will be displayed; Click GENERATE RRR at the bottom left of the page

8. A Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number will be generated on the page

9. Paying online activates your account immediate:

10. To pay online (Master/Visa/Internet Banking), CLICK on Pay via REMITA and follow the online guide. (After paying just refresh your page and continue from step-12)

(II) To pay through a bank branch, print your transaction-slip or copy the RRR number and proceed to any commercial bank of your choice (make sure the RRR number appears on the slip before printing and going to the bank)

10. After payment, go back to the portal https://abuth.gov.ng/apply

11.Click on LOGIN and enter the LOGIN ID and PASSWORD you created at step-3 above.

12. Fill in all your details (Biodata, contact details, Next of kin, Qualifications (O Level & A Level & passport photo)

13. Click on MY FORMS from your profile menu and select SUBMIT APPLICATION on the right

14. Make sure you agree with the terms and conditions by checking the box at the bottom of your submit-form details, then finally submit.

CBT FEE

1. Candidates are required to pay the sum of N2,000.00k only as registration fee for the' CBT. Payment should be made through Remita at www.remita.net - select pay TSA and state: Choose FGN; select AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL; choose school fees; enter your details and pay.

2. Any candidate who fails to attend either the CBT examination, the interview or both will not be eligible for admission into the College.

3. You are required to come along with a copy of your application form, CBT fee payment receipt, valid means of identification and original copies of all your credentials for interview.

Tentative date for entrance examination is 7th May, 2026.

Online application forms are open to interested and qualified candidates from 30th March to 30th April, 2026
