ADSU promotes 3 lecturers to professorial and reader ranks

Adamawa State University, Mubi has announced the promotion of three academic staff following a successful external assessment exercise.

The announcement was made by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Augustine Clement, during the institution’s 136th Senate meeting held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the University Senate Chamber.

According to the statement released by the university’s Information/Protocol Unit, the promotion includes two staff elevated to the rank of Professor and one to the rank of Reader (Associate Professor equivalent). The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the newly promoted academics and urged them to remain dedicated to their duties while contributing to innovative and impactful research.

The promoted staff are:

Dr. Nuhu Honney Tini – Professor (Transportation)

Dr. Adamu Wakili – Professor (Linear Programming)

Dr. Ahams Summanuwa Timothy – Reader (Material Science – Computation)

The university management extended its congratulations to the beneficiaries, describing the promotions as well-deserved and a reflection of their academic contributions.
