AE-FUNAI notice on commencement of 1s semester exam, 2025/2026

The management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AEFUNAI), has announced a revised date for the commencement of the 2025/2026 academic session's first semester examinations.

In a memo signed by the Registrar, T. Ifeanyi Igwe, Esq., on February 26, 2026, the university explained that the academic calendar was disrupted by the ongoing ASUU Health/Sports Week and the registration period granted to freshers. These events led to the postponement of the institution's 14th Matriculation ceremony.

Following approvals from the Vice-Chancellor and the University Management Committee, examinations will now commence on March 12, 2026, for returning students. For 100-level students, GST and CBT examinations are scheduled to begin on Monday, March 16, 2026.

The university has urged all staff and students to adhere strictly to the adjusted calendar to ensure a smooth examination process.
