African School of Regulation (ASR) Scholarship 2026
The African School of Regulation (ASR), with support from GET.transform, is offering twenty (20) scholarships to support participation in the online component of the Power Sector Regulation in Africa (PSRA) course. To ensure that the learning outcomes directly strengthen regulatory practice on the continent, these scholarships are exclusively reserved for women staff of energy regulatory authorities in Africa.

Aim and Benefits of African School of Regulation (ASR) Scholarship
The scholarship programme is structured in two stages: Online course scholarships •Twenty scholarships covering full participation in the online component of the course. In-person course scholarships •The ten best performing participants in the online course will be selected for the in-person component. •This scholarship covers travel, accommodation, and participation in the residential session in Accra.
Requirements for African School of Regulation (ASR) Scholarship Qualification
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an African country.
- Be currently employed by an energy regulatory authority in Africa.
- Have a background in energy regulation or a closely related field.
- Hold a master’s degree with at least three years of relevant professional experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience
- Demonstrate financial need and a commitment to applying the knowledge gained within their regulatory institution.
- Commit to full participation in the online program, including live sessions, online discussions, assignments, and the final report.
Interview date, Process and Venue for African School of Regulation (ASR) Scholarship
Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee. Scholarships will be awarded based on:
- Alignment with regulatory responsibilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to strengthening energy regulation in Africa.
- Motivation and clarity of the intended application of learning.
- Financial need.
Selection for the in-person scholarship will be based on performance during the online course.
