Akawe Torkula Poly, Makurdi IJMBE Admission form, 2026/2027

This is to inform the general public especially prospective students of the Akawe Torkula Polytechnic, Makurdi that the school management has released the admission form into the Interim Joint Matriculation Examination (IJMBE) programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The IJMBE is a one-year programme designed to prepare students for Direct Entry admission into Nigerian universities at the 200 level. It also provides an opportunity for students to correct deficiencies in O'Level Mathematics and English Language.

Courses Available

​The IJMBE programme offers pathways into several disciplines, specifically:

​Science Courses

​Social Science Courses

​Art Courses

​Management Courses

Admission Requirements

​Candidates must have a minimum of five O'Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.

​Note: Candidates lacking Mathematics or English credits may still apply and remedy those deficiencies during the programme.

​How to Apply

Forms are available and should be purchased at the Bursary Department of the Polytechnic.

​The application form fee is Three Thousand Eight Hundred Naira (N3,800).
