AKSCOE SUG notice bans Indecent dressing on Campus
The Students' Union Government (SUG) wishes to formally notify the entire student body that following the directive issued by the Provost on Friday, 27th March 2026 during our town hall meeting, the ban on indecent dressing within the institution takes effect from Monday, 30th March 2026.
This directive is in line with the provisions of the Students' Handbook, which emphasizes discipline, decency, and the promotion of a morally sound academic environment.
The SUG fully supports this decision by the Management and urges all students to strictly adhere to the approved dress code as stipulated in the handbook. Inessing, which undersized the values and image of the institution, will not be tolerated, and defaulters may face disciplinary actions as prescribed.
Students are therefore advised to:
1. Dress modestly and responsibly at all times within the campus.
2. Avoid clothing that is revealing, offensive, or inappropriate for an academic environment.
3. Conduct themselves in a manner that upholds the dignity of the institution.
4. The SUG remains committed to working with the Management to ensure a conducive and respectful learning environment for all.
Your cooperation is highly appreciated.
