AKSU holds 8th Inaugural lecture on February 20

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) will on Friday, February 20, 2026, host its 8th Inaugural Lecture at the Senate Chambers, main campus, Ikot Akpaden. The lecture is scheduled to commence at 2:00 p.m.

The event, hosted under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Otoabasi Akpan, will feature Inibong Umotong, a Professor in the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Arts, as the inaugural lecturer.

The lecture is themed “Ameilib Paradoxes: The Anarchist Deconstruct.” According to the university, the programme forms part of its tradition of promoting scholarly discourse and intellectual engagement across disciplines.

Members of the academic community, students, and the general public are invited to attend.
