The Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has announced a change of date for its 16th Matriculation Ceremony. According to an official statement released by the Office of the Registrar, the event has been rescheduled for Friday, March 20, 2026.

The notice, signed by the Registrar, Dr. Ebi G. Eno-Ibanga, FINM, was addressed to the general public, members of the university community, parents, guardians, students, and staff. It formally informs all stakeholders of the postponement, extending apologies for any inconvenience the shift in dates may cause.

No specific reason for the delay was provided in the brief statement. The ceremony was previously slated to hold earlier, though the original date was not reiterated in the notice.

The matriculation event formally welcomes newly admitted students into the university.
