Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic announces 2025/2026 SUG parliamentary election

The management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has officially approved the conduct of the 2025/2026 Students’ Union Government (SUG) Parliamentary Election.

According to a circular issued by the Office of the Dean of Students’ Affairs, the election will be conducted using the manual voting method. The decision was communicated to all concerned students, urging them to actively participate in the electoral process.

• Date: Wednesday, 15th April, 2026
• Venue: Polytechnic Library Conference Hall
• Time: 12:30 PM

Students eligible to vote have been directed to turn out in large numbers to exercise their civic responsibility by voting for candidates of their choice.

The announcement was signed by Dr. Unyime P. Udoudo, Dean of Students’ Affairs, on behalf of the institution’s management.

Copies of the circular have been distributed to key administrative offices, including the Acting Rector, Acting Registrar, Bursar, Polytechnic Librarian, Deans, Heads of Departments, and student leadership, to ensure widespread awareness across the campus.

Students are advised to be guided accordingly.
