Akwa Ibom State Poly announces Christmas and Ne year holidays

The Management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has announced the observance of the 2025 Christmas, Boxing Day, and 2026 New Year public holidays as declared by the Federal Government.

According to a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar, the public holidays will be observed on Thursday, December 25; Friday, December 26, 2025; and Thursday, January 1, 2026, to mark Christmas, Boxing Day, and the New Year celebrations respectively.

The announcement directed all units of the institution that provide essential services to ensure the continuous discharge of their duties throughout the holiday period. In particular, security personnel have been instructed to maintain heightened vigilance to safeguard lives and property on campus.

Management further clarified that normal work will resume from Monday, December 29 to Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and on Friday, January 2, 2026, following the respective holidays. Academic activities for students are scheduled to commence on Monday, January 5, 2026.

The Polytechnic Management extended warm goodwill messages to staff, wishing them a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
