AKSU academic calendar for 2025/2026 session
Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has officially released the academic calendar for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session. The schedule outlines key academic and administrative activities for both new and returning students, spanning December 2025 to April 2026.
According to the calendar,Β the arrival of new students will be on December 2 and returning students on December 5. Registration for new students begins on December 3, while returning students begin registration on December 8.
Lectures for all students are slated to begin on Monday, January 5, 2026, shortly after the Christmas break. Orientation for new students will run from January 13 to January 15, followed by the commencement of lectures the next week.
The semester includes several committee and senate meetings, alongside key breaks such as the Easter break from April 1 to April 6, 2026.
First semester examinations are scheduled to start on April 6, 2026, with all exams concluding by April 21, 2026. Students are expected to depart on April 22, 2026.
The institution noted that management meetings will hold every Monday, while faculty and departmental board meetings will take place on the first and last weeks of each month. The semester spans a total of 13 weeks of lectures, complemented by orientation, examinations, and committee sessions.
