The Management of Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare has announced the reopening of Gate-1 and the closure of Gate-2 to routine traffic following increasing concerns over congestion and safety challenges.

According to a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar, the decision was reached after observing serious traffic difficulties experienced by staff, students, and the general public while using Gate-2. The situation has reportedly led to frequent disruptions and safety concerns.

At its daily briefing held on Friday, 27th March, 2026, the Management approved new access control measures aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing campus security. These changes will take effect from Monday, 30th March, 2026.

New Access Guidelines:

  1. Gate-1 (Main Gate): Will be fully reopened for both vehicular and pedestrian access. It will serve as the primary entry and exit point of the College.
  2. Gate-2 (Second Gate): Will be closed to routine traffic. Access will be restricted to pedestrians only, emergency vehicles, and authorized service deliveries.
  3. Identification Requirement: All staff and students, including FUHSA students residing in the College hostels, are required to carry valid identification cards at all times.

Staff and students are urged to comply fully with these directives and cooperate with security personnel stationed at the gates.

The Management expressed regret over any inconvenience caused and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the College community as efforts are made to improve safety and efficiency on campus.
