ASUU EBSU claims ignorance over scheduled matriculation, insists members won't attend
The management of Ebonyi State University (EBSU) and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) chapter of the university are having a disagreement over resumption plans.
This is coming after the management had earlier announced the 2019/2020 matriculation ceremony of its newly admitted students for Saturday, November 14.
However, the ASUU chapter of the state university has denied being aware of the scheduled matriculation. The union further remarked that none of its members will be in attendance at the ceremony because the strike action embarked by ASUUΒ is still ongoing.
Meanwhile, ASUU chair of the institution, Ikechukwu Igwenyi has debunked the news making rounds that academic activities have resumed in the school.
