ATBU SUG notice to students on hostel clearance

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has officially released the clearance procedures for students seeking accommodation in the university hostels for the 2026 academic session. The guidelines were issued by the Students' Union Halls and Electives Committee (HEC).

According to the notice signed by the committee's Secretary, Senator Yahya Ja'afar, all interested students must adhere to the following steps to complete their hostel clearance:

1. Booking and payment for accommodation.

2. Conversion of the hostel Remita payment slip to an official receipt.

3. Preparation of an official file jacket.

4. Submission of one passport photograph.

5. Presentation of a photocopy of the admission letter.

6. For returning students: A photocopy of the school ID card.

7. One copy of the downloaded Hostel Policy document.

8. Payment of the hostel maintenance fee.

The notice specifies that the clearance exercise will be conducted at the Hall Supervisor's Office of each respective hall of residence.

The Halls and Electives Committee, under the leadership of Senator Inuwa Ahmad, expressed appreciation for the students' understanding and cooperation, emphasizing that the outlined process is designed to ensure a smooth and fair allocation of hostel spaces for all eligible students.

All prospective hostel occupants are advised to carefully follow the procedures and prepare the required documents ahead of time to facilitate a seamless clearance process.
