ATBU extends deadline for submission of SIWES acceptance letters

The Industrial Training and Coordinating Unit (ITCU) received complain from students for the delay in processing their 'Acceptance Letters' from respective placements, in view of this, the deadline has been extended to 14th April, 2026.

It is important to know that the SIWES provides students with hands-on experience, imparting technical expertise in your specialized fields. Notably, many ATBU students have secured automatic employment in their industrial training placements upon graduation, demonstrating both the program's effectiveness and the students' commitment.

However, in order to achieve maximum objectives of SIWES, students are to strictly adhere to the following regulations:

1. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality at your place of attachment.

2. Comply with the Employer's rules and regulations.

3. Keep proper records of training activities and other assignments in the Logbook.

4. Return your completed SCAF form to the ITF Office in Bauchi or the office located in your SIWES state.

5. Always be at your duty post as university supervisors will pay an impromptu visit to assess your performance.
