ATBU SUG notice on transport fares within the campus
The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, through its Ad-hoc Sales Committee, has approved and released official transport fares for bike (Achaba/Okada) and tricycle (Keke) operations within the university community.
The decision followed a meeting between the SUG Ad-hoc Sales Committee and the ATBU Transport Union leadership aimed at regulating transportation service prices on campus. According to the committee, all bike and tricycle operators are required to strictly adhere to the approved fares with immediate effect.
Approved Bike (Achaba/Okada) Fares
Yelwa Gate to anywhere within the campus — ₦100
Gubi Gate to Bus Stop, Faculty of Agriculture and Education — ₦100
Gubi Gate to Management, Science & Central Market — ₦150
Gubi Gate to Hostel — ₦200
Hostel to Management Sciences and Faculty of Science — ₦200
Gubi Hostel to Bus Stop — ₦150
Approved Tricycle (Keke) Fares
Awala to Gubi Campus — ₦500
Yelwa Gate to anywhere within the campus — ₦100
Gubi Gate to Hostel — ₦150
Gubi Gate to Faculty of Veterinary Medicine — ₦150
Hostel to Faculty of Science — ₦150
Gubi Hostel to any other place within the campus — ₦100
Gubi Gate to any other place within the campus — ₦100
The committee cautioned transport operators against overcharging students and staff. Members of the university community who experience overcharging or related issues are advised to submit complaints, with evidence, via WhatsApp to 08147504186 or 07061901906.
