Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship at Bond University 2026
The Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) stipends are provided to support the general living costs of both domestic and overseas students undertaking research doctorate degrees. The Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) stipends are provided to support the general living costs of both domestic and overseas students undertaking research doctorate degrees. A limited number of scholarships are available to domestic and overseas doctoral students who wish to continue their education through a PhD program. The RTP scholarship is awarded through a competitive application processes. The Bond University HDR Scholarships Committee meets biannually to award fee waivers and living stipends based on a merit based selection process. Students cannot apply if they are receiving an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth designed to offset HDR fees.
About Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP)
The RTP provides block grants, on a calendar year basis, to HEPs to support both domestic and overseas students undertaking Research Doctorate and Research Masters degrees, known as higher degrees by research (HDRs). Aim and Benefits of Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship at Bond University
A scholarship for all successful applicants includes:
- 100% fee waiver up to four years (for international students already on a 75% Faculty Fee Waiver. Domestic Students are automatically entitled to a 100% fee waiver under the RTP scheme)
- stipend (living allowance) up to three years, and
- single overseas health cover for international students (four years)
Requirements for Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship at Bond University Qualification
- You must have completed and submitted Bond application for your program before applying for a scholarship
- You must have a valid Bond University Letter of Offer before being offered a scholarship
- You must be studying for a PhD or Professional Doctorate of Occupational Therapy
- You are studying full time or will convert to full time if awarded a scholarship
- If you have previously applied twice for a Higher Degree Scholarship at Bond University, and were unsuccessful, you are not eligible to reapply.

- Research Project Proposal
- Official Academic Transcripts for all programs that you have completed and the results/grades awarded, including information on institution grading systems/scales, and evidence of completion
- Official English language translations of documents not in English (Bond University Document Translation Requirements)
- If English is not your first language, proof of English language proficiency (refer to Bond University English Language Requirements)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) or linkedin URL, please include any research publications and conference presentations
Please have these ready and upload them prior to submitting your application. Applications cannot progress for assessment until all required documents are received.
