DSUST notice on availability of University's hostel accommodation

The University Management wishes to inform all students who currently reside off-campus that the University hostel is now available for occupancy for the forthcoming semester.

The hostel rooms are equipped with toilet facilities in each room to ensure comfort and convenience for students residing on campus.

Students who are interested in securing accommodation in the University hostel are advised to visit the Office of the Dean of Students' Affairs to obtain the hostel application form for the next semester.

Please note that only half payment of the hostel accommodation fee will be required for the coming semester.

All interested students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and complete the application process promptly.

POLICY ON FURTHER STUDIES FOR NON-ACADEMIC STAFF

The University Management has observed with concern that some Non-Academic Staff apply for further studies immediately after their employment with the University.

Management wishes to reiterate that such action is against the rules guiding the employment conditions of Non-Academic Staff in the University.

Henceforth, any Non-Academic Staff applying for further studies shall not be granted approval unless the staff has completed a minimum of seven (7) years of service in the University.

It should also be noted that only Academic Staff are permitted to pursue further studies at any time, subject to the applicable regulations.

Furthermore, any Non-Academic Staff who violates this directive and proceeds on further studies without due approval will not have such certificate recognized or considered for staff upgrade within the University. This condition is not applicable to Non-Academic staff whose studies have already been approved sequel to this notification.

All staff are therefore advised to strictly adhere to this policy.
