Bayero University Kano Releases Guidelines for Hostel Payment via Remita System Body

Bayero University Kano has released important guidelines for students on how to successfully make hostel payments through the Remita platform using the applicant account portal.

According to the notice issued by the university’s Hostel Management System, students are expected to first generate their payment invoice before proceeding with payment through the “Pay with Remita” option available on their account dashboard.

The institution further advised students not to make payments directly on the Remita platform for hostel bed spaces, stressing that all payments must be initiated from the official student/applicant account portal.

Students whose payments are successful but not reflected on their accounts have also been instructed to use the “Check Payment Status” option to confirm and update their payment records.

After successful payment, students are expected to print their receipt or acknowledgement slip and proceed to the hostel administrative office for physical documentation.

The university noted that the exercise currently applies to Undergraduate Full-Time and Part-Time Degree students, while Postgraduate hostel applications will commence soon.

Students are advised to carefully follow the outlined procedures to avoid payment issues during the hostel allocation process.
