LASU warns the public of a fake Facebook account in VC'S names

The DICT, Lagos State University has enjoined members of the University Community and general public to beware of a fake Facebook account being paraded in the name of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni

Some faceless persons have created the fake Facebook account in the name of Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello.

“The fake account, conspicuously different from the authentic one, has unfortunately enjoyed followership from innocent members of the University community, the general public and other well wishers.

Pictures of Vice Chancellor copied from the internet and other sources have been used to populate the pages with some misleading information used therein.

Prof Ibiyemi I.Olatunji-Bello hereby repudiates the Facebook account, as it does not belong to her. The public and members of the university community are urged to be wary, and see through the intentions of this fakery.

Such pages should be regarded with the contempt they deserve. We encourage members of the public to note that the authentic Facebook account of Prof I.I. Olatunji-Bello is https://www.facebook.com/iolatunjibello

Necessary action as regards this has been taken and positive results are being achieved.

Finally, members of the public are advised to unfollow and unfriend any Facebook account in the name of Prof Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello except the one stated above, which is the authentic account.
