Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero reopens for academic activities

The Management of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology (AFUSTA), Aliero, has officially announced the immediate reopening of the institution for the commencement of academic activities.

​The decision follows a directive from the Kebbi State Government, issued through the Ministry for Higher Education, Birnin Kebbi. According to a circular dated January 21, 2026 (Ref: MHE/AFUSTA/021/63), the university is mandated to resume operations effective immediately.

​Immediate Resumption for All Students

​In a statement signed by the University Registrar, Maimaro Alhaji Tilli, all categories of students are expected to return to campus and resume their studies starting today, Thursday, January 22, 2026.

​Undergraduate Students

​Postgraduate Students

​Diploma Students

​IJMB and Remedial Students

​Commitment to Safety

​The university management has assured the staff, students, and the general public that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment. The administration expressed its appreciation for the cooperation of the university community during the period of closure.
