Sa'adu Zungur University update on NELFUND refunds

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) has issued an important notice to students regarding the NELFUND 2023/2024 session refunds.

​The memo, signed by the SRC President, Comr. Iliyasu Umar Adamu, addresses two specific categories of students to clarify payment discrepancies and recovery procedures.

​Key Clarifications on Refund Eligibility

​1. Students Who Did Not Receive Refunds

The council clarified that some students who registered via the ICT portal are not entitled to any refund. This applies specifically to those who were granted portal access and completed their registration without making any personal payment for school fees. Since no personal funds were spent, no refund is due.

​2. Mandatory Refund of Double Payments

In a critical directive, the university has identified a group of beneficiaries who had their school fees covered by NELFUND but also received a refund from the university.

​These students are directed to return the excess funds to the university immediately.
