BUK part-time degree admission, 2025/2026

Bayero University, Kano (BUK), through its School of Continuing Education (SCE), has officially announced the commencement of admissions into its Part-Time Degree Programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

A wide array of undergraduate courses across multiple faculties is available for qualified candidates, including SSCE O’Level holders (Non-UTME), UTME candidates, and Direct Entry applicants.

Available Programmes:

The programmes are spread across several departments:

· Arts and Humanities: B.A. in Arabic, Hausa, English, and Islamic Studies.

· Science: B.N.Sc. Nursing Science (Direct Entry only), B.Sc. in Geography, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, and Software Engineering.

· Education: Various B.A. (Ed) and B.Sc. (Ed) programmes in subjects like Adult Education, Economics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Health Education.

· Social Science and Administration: B.Sc. in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Insurance, Public Administration, and International Relations.

Entry Requirements:

Prospective applicants must meet specific academic criteria:

· For UTME/SSCE admission, a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits in relevant subjects, including English Language, in not more than two sittings is required.

· For Direct Entry (200 Level), candidates must possess recognized qualifications such as A’Level certificates, National/ Higher National Diplomas, NCE, IJMB, or relevant professional diplomas. Specific requirements apply for programmes like Nursing Science, Arabic, and Islamic Studies.

Application Procedure:

The application process is two-fold:

1. JAMB Registration: All applicants must first register on the JAMB Part-Time Degree Application Portal, fill the form, and pay a fee of ₦3,500 to obtain a JAMB Part-Time Application Number.

2. BUK Portal Registration: Subsequently, candidates must proceed to the BUK website (www.buk.edu.ng), pay a non-refundable application processing fee of ₦5,000, and complete the online application form using the JAMB Application Number.

Application Deadline:

The application window opens on Monday, 17th November 2025 and closes on Monday, 27th March 2026. Prospective students are advised to complete all registration steps before the deadline.
