BUK notice to all hostels residents
The Deanery of Student Affairs at Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has issued an official notice to all hostel residents regarding the conclusion of the current academic session and preparations for the upcoming year.
In a memo signed by the Dean of Student Affairs and released from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, the university revealed that a comprehensive general maintenance program will be carried out across all campus hostels during the break period. This initiative is specifically designed to ensure facilities are in top condition for the 2025/2026 Hostel Allocations.
Vacation Deadlines and Guidelines
Students are advised of the following strict protocols to facilitate the maintenance schedule:
Immediate Departure: All students are required to vacate their hostel rooms immediately following their last examination.
Final Grace Period: The absolute deadline for moving out is two weeks after the final examination paper is written.
Personal Property: Residents must take all personal belongings with them when leaving the premises.
Strict Warning on Leftover Items
The Deanery has issued a clear warning to the student body regarding property left behind. According to the official notice, any personal items found within the hostel premises after the two-week deadline will be considered unwanted and will be subsequently disposed of by the university.
The administration thanked students for their usual cooperation and urged everyone to comply strictly with these directives to avoid the loss of property.
