BUK announces special lecture on examination matters, inauguration of new SUG executives

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has announced a Special Lecture on Examination Matters alongside the inauguration of the newly elected Students’ Union Government (SUG) executives.

The event, organized by the Deanery of Students Affairs in collaboration with the Caretaker Committee, is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 28th January 2026, by 2:00 p.m. at the Convocation Arena, BUK New Campus. The programme is open to BUK students, members of the university community, and the general public.

The special lecture will feature three presentations focused on academic integrity and examination ethics. The first lecture, titled “Beyond Cramming and Cheating: Time Allocation Strategies for Sustainable Academic Excellence in the University”, will be delivered by Dr. Idris Salisu Rogo. The second presentation, “Examinations: Right Conduct, Wrong Choices and Their Consequences”, will be handled by Professor Yusuf Garba, Director of Academic Planning. The third lecture, “Implications of Examination Misconduct”, will be presented by Professor Maikano Madaki.

Students are strongly encouraged to attend the programme punctually, as it is aimed at promoting academic excellence and integrity within the university. To ensure smooth participation, transportation arrangements have been made to convey students from the Old Campus, AKTH, and the School of Continuing Education (SCE) to the venue.
