Saadu Zungur University Releases Strict Disciplinary Measures for Examination Misconduct
The management of Saβadu Zungur University (Yuli Campus, Bauchi) has issued a comprehensive notice outlining major examination misconducts and the severe disciplinary actions that will follow any violations.
In an official statement signed by Mohammed Waziri, the Deputy Dean of Students Affairs, the university emphasized that these regulations are binding for all students across every course of study. Students are urged to familiarize themselves with these rules to avoid academic jeopardy.
The university maintains a zero-tolerance policy for the following offenses, all of which carry the penalty of immediate expulsion:
- Exchanging oral or written information during an exam.
- Possession of unauthorized materials.
- Cheating using inappropriate answer sheets.
- Disruption of the examination process.
- Refusal to write a statement or submit exhibits.
- Use of GSM (mobile) telephones in examination halls.
- Chewing or destruction of exhibits.
- Impersonation.
- Writing irrelevant/inappropriate language or begging lecturers for marks on exam scripts.
Certain behaviors will lead to long-term removal from the university community:
- Rustication for One Session: Speaking to other candidates or threatening invigilators and examiners.
- Suspension for One Session: Rudeness to invigilators or causing disturbances during the examination. These offenses also include immediate expulsion from the current examination hall.
Hall Conduct and Lateness
- Failure to Display ID: Students must display their Examination Card on their desk. Failure to comply after being ordered will result in expulsion from the hall.
- Lateness: Students arriving less than 30 minutes late will be admitted, but no extra time will be granted.
- Unpermitted Exit: Leaving the hall without explicit permission results in immediate expulsion from the exam.
