Lead City University (LCU) has officially opened applications for various academic and technical positions across multiple faculties and departments. The institution is seeking qualified, innovative, and dedicated professionals to join its marketing and academic teams as part of its latest growth initiative.  

​Academic Vacancies

​The university is hiring for several key roles, including Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers, and Lecturers (I & II). These opportunities are available across the following faculties:  

​Faculty of Allied Health Sciences: Departments include Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy, Public Health, and Radiography, among others.  

​Faculty of Basic Medical & Clinical Sciences: Seeking experts in Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Biochemistry, Haematology, and Pharmacology.  

​Faculty of Clinical Sciences: Openings in specialized fields such as Paediatrics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.  

​Faculty of Engineering: Positions available in Biomedical, Civil, Mechatronics, Mechanical, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering.  

​Faculty of Sciences: Departments hiring include Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Biotechnology.  

​Other Faculties: Vacancies also exist in the Faculty of Arts (French/Yoruba), Dentistry, Pharmacy, Environmental Design & Management (Architecture/Building), and Management & Social Sciences (Criminology).  

​Technical and Clinical Support Roles

​In addition to teaching staff, LCU is recruiting Academic Technologists and Clinical Instructors (Chief, Senior, and I & II levels). These roles support departments such as Electronics, Media Technology (Audio/Film), Webmaster services, and various medical laboratory specialties.  

​General Requirements and Qualifications

​Academic Staff: Candidates generally require a good first degree (minimum Second Class Lower), a Master’s, and a PhD in their respective disciplines.  

​Experience: Senior roles like Professor require at least 12 years of teaching and research experience, along with a significant portfolio of published articles in reputable local and international journals.  

​Technologists: Applicants must possess a first degree or HND and a current practice license from relevant regulatory boards.

​Lead City University offers highly attractive conditions of service. Salary entry points on the CONUASS/CONTISS scales are positioned above those generally applicable in Federal universities and are open to negotiation.
