Catalyst Fund Analyst Internship 2026
Catalyst Fund is looking for an Analyst Intern to support our investment work. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, analytical, and excited by startups and Africa’s innovation ecosystem.
What you’ll do
- Research climate resilience sectors, business models, and market dynamics across Africa
- Support dealflow: startup screening, competitor scans, customer/market research, and write-ups
- Assist with commercial and basic financial analysis (unit economics, pricing, market sizing)
- Help maintain pipeline trackers and internal knowledge resources
- Support portfolio work as needed (e.g., partnership research, investor mapping, KPI tracking)

Requirements for Catalyst Fund Analyst Internship Qualification
- Experience: Undergraduate (final year) to 2 years of work experience
- Background: STEM, Finance, Business, Economics, or adjacent analytical fields
The ideal candidate possesses the following key attributes:
1. Drive: They take initiative, execute quickly, and consistently follow through.
2. Desire to Learn: They actively seek feedback, improve rapidly, and thrive on steep learning curves.
3. Strong Interest in Startups: They exhibit curiosity about founders, business models, and the dynamics of scaling businesses in Africa.
Additionally, candidates must demonstrate clear thinking, strong writing skills, attention to detail, and high integrity.

Location: Nigeria or Kenya preferred (other locations considered for exceptional candidates)
