The Co-creation Hub (CcHUB) “Let’s Build, Africa!” Program for 2024 is now accepting applications. In celebration of Africa Day, CcHUB is excited to introduce this innovative market entry program, which aims to empower African startups to expand into new markets across the continent.

What is “Let’s Build, Africa!”?

“Let’s Build, Africa!” is a strategic initiative designed to support startups ready for cross-border growth but needing guidance and support to navigate new ecosystems. CcHUB is dedicated to fostering economic integration and innovation throughout Africa.

Goals of the Program

The program aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Facilitate Cross-Border Expansion: Help startups gain insights and access to new markets across Africa.
  • Strengthen Intercontinental Ties: Promote collaboration and investment opportunities between startups and local stakeholders in target markets.
  • Boost Economic Integration: Contribute to the economic integration of Africa by facilitating easier market access for innovative businesses.

By the end of the program, participating startups will have made significant progress in entering new markets, forming valuable partnerships, and positioning themselves for investment and growth. This will greatly enhance intra-African trade and collaboration, driving economic growth and innovation across the continent.

Key Components of the Program

The “Let’s Build, Africa!” Program includes several vital components to support startups:

Pitch Sessions

Startups will have the opportunity to pitch to potential partners, collaborators, and investors, showcasing their products and services.

Travel and Ecosystem Tours

Participants will experience tailored ecosystem tours in one of the focus countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, or Namibia. These tours include one-on-one meetings with potential customers, collaborators, and investors.

Post-Tour Support

For six months after the ecosystem tour, startups will receive support to strengthen the market linkages made during the tours.

Market Opportunity Packs (MOP)

Startups will gain access to insights into the countries they will visit, helping them understand market dynamics and opportunities.

Showcase Opportunities

Participants will showcase their products to a curated audience of collaborators, investors, and potential customers, enhancing their visibility and growth prospects.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the “Let’s Build, Africa!” Program, startups must meet the following criteria:

  • The startup must be registered in an African country.
  • At least one of the founders must be an African national.
  • The startup should be at the scale-up stage.
