Coal City University, Enugu, has dismissed as false a publication alleging that it admitted students into a Law programme.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the university management described the report titled *“Panic As Coal City University Allegedly Admits Law Students”* as misleading and not reflective of the institution’s position.

The management clarified that the university does not operate a Faculty of Law and has not established a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) programme.

It therefore stressed that no student has been admitted to study Law in the institution.

The university further noted that the publication did not seek clarification from its management before releasing the report.

“The University categorically states that the publication is false and misleading. For the avoidance of doubt, Coal City University has not established a Faculty of Law and does not run a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) programme. Consequently, the University has not admitted any students into a Law programme,” the statement said.

The management urged members of the public to disregard the report in its entirety, describing it as inaccurate.

It reiterated its commitment to complying strictly with the regulations of the National Universities Commission and maintaining high standards of academic integrity and excellence.
