COOU schedule of events for 16th Convocation and Founder's Day Events

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) is pleased to announce its upcoming week of academic and commemorative activities. The events include the Founder’s Day celebration, the 4th Memorial Lecture in honor of the university's namesake, and the 16th Convocation Ceremony for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

1. Press Conference

2. Founder’s Day & 4th Memorial Lecture

Lecturer: His Excellency Mr. Gautier Mignot – European Union Ambassador to Nigeria.
Theme: Sustainable and Climate Resilience Future: Beyond Rhetorics.
Venue: ETF Auditorium, Igbariam Campus

3. Interdenominational Service & Students Day

Date: Thursday, 23rd April, 2026
Time: 10:00 am
Details: Special service and engagement with the Vice-Chancellor.

4. Convocation Lecture

Date: Friday, 24th April, 2026
Time: 10:00 am
Lecturer: His Excellency Mr. Michal Cygan – The Polish Ambassador in Nigeria.
Theme: Building Innovative Minds and Bridges for Shared Prosperity.
Venue: ETF Auditorium, Igbariam Campus

5. 16th Convocation Ceremony

Date: Saturday, 25th April, 2026
Time: 11:00 am
Details: Official Convocation for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Graduands.
