The Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) has officially announced the launch of its BizAid "Reward 4 Learning" initiative. This program is designed to incentivize professional development by offering tangible rewards for completing courses under the DBN Entrepreneurship Training Programme (ETP).

The initiative aims to bridge the skills gap in the MSME sector by encouraging individuals to utilize the bank’s digital learning resources. By integrating financial rewards with educational milestones, DBN seeks to foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

Who Should Apply?

The program is designed for a broad range of ambitious individuals looking to sharpen their business acumen. Specifically, the following groups are encouraged to participate:

  • Existing Entrepreneurs: Small and medium-scale business owners looking to scale their operations.
  • Aspiring Business Owners: Individuals with a business idea who need the technical "know-how" to get started.
  • Students: University and polytechnic students interested in entrepreneurship are also included and highly encouraged to apply to gain foundational business skills before graduation.
  • Freelancers and Artisans: Self-employed individuals looking to formalize their business structures.

Available Incentives

The "Reward 4 Learning" program offers two primary tiers of support for active participants:

  • Monthly Cash Rewards: A cash prize of ₦20,000 will be awarded to 90 top-performing learners every month. These rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate exceptional academic performance in their chosen courses.
  • Weekly Data Support: To assist with the costs of online learning, 300 learners will receive ₦2,000 worth of data support every week. This ensures that more participants can access the platform without the barrier of internet costs.

How to Participate and Qualify

The program is open to all registered users on the DBN learning platform. The qualification criteria are straightforward:

  1. Registration: Interested participants must register or log in at the official portal: learning.devbankng.com.
  2. Earning Cash Rewards: To qualify for the monthly ₦20,000, learners must complete the final exams of any course and achieve scores high enough to rank among the top 90 performers for that month.
  3. Securing Data Support: The weekly data rewards are distributed based on speed and completion. The first 300 learners to complete a course each week will automatically qualify for the data support.
