The Delta State University (DELSU) Management, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, has officially approved the 2026 DELSU Work-Study Aid Scheme.

This initiative is an on-campus, part-time programme specifically designed to provide financial support to indigent undergraduate students. It enables them to earn a monthly allowance while continuing their studies, without disruption to academic activities.

Eligible students will be engaged in approved university units, performing general, non-hazardous support services.

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested applicants must:

· Be a registered full-time DELSU undergraduate.

· Demonstrate genuine financial need.

· Be in good academic standing with a CGPA of 2.40 or above.

· Have no serious disciplinary record.

The scheme offers a flexible schedule, requiring only a few hours per week. Work hours will be structured around lecture periods and must not interfere with academic performance.

Priority will be given to:

1. Indigent students.

2. Students without existing scholarships.

3. Students recommended by their Departments or the Student Affairs Division.

Application Deadline:

Interested and qualified students should submit their applications to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) on or before Thursday, 22nd January, 2026.

Note: Successful applicants will receive a monthly-based allowance, as per university policy, and not a full-time salary.

For further details, the university bulletin is accessible on the student portal at studentportal.delsu.edu.ng and on Facebook @ DELSU Africa.
