DELSU announces 118th Inaugural Lecture

Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has announced its 118th Inaugural Lecture as part of the institution’s ongoing academic lecture series.

According to an official notice released by the university, the lecture will be delivered by Professor Ignatius Nkonyeasua Njoseh, a Professor of Mathematics at Delta State University.

The inaugural lecture is titled “Finding X Amid the Problems in My Kitchen: My Career as a Numerical Analyst.” The lecture is expected to highlight Professor Njoseh’s academic journey, research contributions, and professional experiences in the field of numerical analysis.

The event will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the 750 Lecture Theatre A, Site III, Delta State University, Abraka. Guests are expected to be seated by 10:30 a.m.

The Vice-Chancellor of Delta State University, Professor Samuel O. Asagba, will serve as the Distinguished Chairman of the occasion, while Professor Enaijite Ojaruega will act as the Chairman of Ceremonies.

Professor Njoseh holds several academic qualifications, including degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, Management, and Numerical Analysis from reputable institutions in Nigeria and abroad. His lecture is anticipated to contribute significantly to academic discourse within the university community and beyond.

Members of the university community, scholars, students, and the general public are cordially invited to attend the lecture.
