DELSU announces Christmas break for staff and students
The management of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has approved a Christmas break for all staff and students of the institution.
According to a special release issued on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, announced that the Christmas break will commence on Monday, December 22, 2025, and end on Friday, January 2, 2026.
The bulletin noted that while the break is in effect, essential services within the university will continue to operate. Normal academic and administrative activities are scheduled to resume on Monday, January 5, 2026.
On behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, and Management, the Vice-Chancellor extended warm Christmas greetings and best wishes to members of the university community. He expressed hope that the holiday period would provide time for rest, reflection, and renewed strength ahead of the New Year.
The announcement was issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Directorate of Ceremonials, Information and Public Relations, Vice-Chancellorβs Office.
