EKSU announces 102nd Inaugural Lecture
The Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has announced its 102nd Inaugural Lecture, scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 17th March, 2026.
The lecture will be delivered by Professor Josephine Bolaji Edward, a Professor of Ecology and Environmental Biology in the Department of Zoology and Environmental Biology.
The inaugural lecture is titled "The Synergy of Physicochemical Parameters, Plankton, Macroinvertebrates, and Fish as Indicators of Aquatic Health." The presentation will explore the relationship between aquatic organisms and environmental parameters, and how they can be used to evaluate the health and sustainability of aquatic ecosystems.
The event will take place at the University Auditorium of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, beginning at 2:00 PM prompt. Guests are expected to be seated by 1:30 PM.
The Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Professor J. B. Ayodele, on behalf of the Governing Council and Senate, cordially invites members of the university community, academics, researchers, students, and the general public to attend the event.
The lecture will be chaired by Professor O. L. Ademilua, Chairman of the Ceremonies Committee, while the Babalola of Ido-Ekiti, Ife Oluwole, will serve as the Royal Father of the Day.
Inaugural lectures are a long-standing academic tradition in universities, providing newly promoted professors the opportunity to formally present their research contributions, academic journey, and scholarly insights to the university community and the public.
