EKSU warns against Indiscriminate Pasting of Posters, Billboard on University Structures
It has been observed with great concern that the aesthetic beauty of the University campus is being continuously defaced by the indiscriminate posting of posters, barners and billboards on building wialls, walkway pillars, and other unauthorized surfaces.
This practice often paaks during periods of campus politics and organizational campaigns, resulting in the unsightly defecement of University property. This is not only a violation of the university environmental sanitation standards but also contributes to the visual degradation of our academic environment.
In light of the above, all members of the University community, particularly students involved in electoral campaigns and staff coordinating events are hereby warned and notified as follows:
Any candidate whose campaign materials are found pasted on unauthorized university structures is automatically disqualified.
All authorized advertisements, event notices, and campaign materials must be restricted to designated Notice Boards and approved signage areas within the campus.
Any individual or group of individuals caught defacing university structures will face immediately disciplinary action in accordance with the university's regulations.
Beyond the official sanctions, any identified attender will be held personally responsible for the cost a labourΒ of restoring the defaced wall or structure to its original state.
On the last count, any staff member of student caught engaging in the indiscriminate pasting of materials will be apprehended by the University Security Personnel and will be made to face the full wrath of the University law.
Please note that this supersedes the earlier sent circular.
Kindly be guided, please.
