Elections: Eight Madonna university students die in a motor accident while traveling home

No fewer than eight students of Madonna University, Elele, lost their lives in a car accident on Saturday, February 18, 2023, while traveling home ahead of the upcoming general elections. 

According to a source, the students who were 18 in number, were traveling from Elele, Rivers state, to Taraba state when the 18-seater bus they boarded had an accident at TTC special science school junction along Saharan road, Abakaliki, Ebonyi state.

The bus reportedly caught fire and got burnt beyond recognition.

Ten out of the eighteen occupants survived the accident and were rushed to the Alex Ekwueme General hospital, Enonyi state for medical care.
