As Jamb gradually concludes the registration of candidates for the 2012 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exams - UTME - in 2nd March (In about 3 weeks from this publication), the body has received quite a number of applications in all Tetiary Institutions in Nigeria.

A release by Jamb on statistics of candidates as at 11th Feb, 2012 i.e. how many candidates have applied to sit for the exam is approximately 1 million since the body started the registration process late last year.

It is expected that no fewer than 1.3 million candidates are expected to sit for the coming 2012 UTME.
